Many Nepalis work in Saudi Arabia, often on long contracts, far from towns and far from family. If stress, sleep problems or low mood are getting on top of you, you can talk to me online in Nepali.
What Nepalis in Saudi Arabia often tell me about
- Long shifts in extreme heat, with little rest or sleep
- Loans and recruitment fees to repay, and pressure to send money home
- Worry about contracts, visa renewals and whether the job will continue
- Living in shared rooms with little privacy, far from family
- Loneliness, missing children or a spouse, and strain in long-distance marriages
- Low mood, anxiety, panic attacks or anger that is hard to control
- Grief when someone dies at home and you cannot travel for the rituals
- Working in remote sites with weak internet and few people who speak Nepali
Time difference
Saudi Arabia is 2 hours 45 minutes behind Nepal all year. When it is 8 PM in Riyadh, it is 10:45 PM in Kathmandu.
If your internet is weak, a voice call on Google Meet also works.
About medicines if you live in Saudi Arabia
- Rules on psychiatric and controlled medicines in the Gulf are strict. Some common medicines, such as sleeping tablets, some painkillers and ADHD medicines, may need a prescription and prior approval to bring in. Carry a prescription or doctor’s letter, and check with the embassy before you travel.
- Please do not carry or post medicines across borders without checking the rules first. If you need medicine, I can write a clear letter with my assessment and advice for a local doctor, who can then prescribe for you.

How online sessions work from Saudi Arabia
- Message me on WhatsApp (+977 9851347591) and tell him you are in Saudi Arabia and which city.
- He will offer a time that fits your shift or day off, and send payment details. A family member can pay in Nepal.
- You get a Google Meet link. Join from a quiet, private place. A phone with earphones is enough.
- Your first session is a full assessment. We agree a plan together, in Nepali or English.
Common questions
Can I see a Nepali psychiatrist online from Saudi Arabia?
Yes. I see Nepali workers in Saudi Arabia online by Google Meet, in Nepali. Short sessions can fit around shifts or on your day off.
Will my employer find out?
No. What you share stays between you and me. I do not contact your employer unless you ask me to in writing, or someone’s life is in danger.
Can my family in Nepal pay or join?
Yes, if you agree. Family can pay in Nepal by Fonepay, eSewa or Khalti, and can join a session with you.
