Services

I offer in-person care at Mind Matters Nepal in Kuleshwor, Kathmandu, and online care by Google Meet for clients anywhere. Sessions are in Nepali, English or Hindi. I see adolescents (13+), adults, couples and families.

Our services

Psychiatric assessment

A full first assessment. We talk about what is troubling you, your history, sleep, health, family and work or study. By the end, you will have a clear explanation of what is going on and a plan we agree on together.

Medicine, when needed

If medicine will help, I explain why, what to expect, possible side effects, and how long it may be needed. We review it at every follow-up and change it if it is not working. Medicine is never the only option we discuss.

TEAM-CBT therapy

A structured, evidence-based talking therapy. Filling in the Brief Mood Survey (BMS) form before and after each session is a must, so we both see whether things are getting better. Many people notice change within a few sessions.

Follow-up care

Regular reviews to check progress, adjust treatment, and plan for staying well. Follow-ups can be in person or online.

Couples and family sessions

When problems affect a relationship or the whole family, we can meet together. Family can also join when you want their support with your treatment.

Second opinion

If you are unsure about a diagnosis or treatment from elsewhere, I can review your history and records and give an independent opinion.

Online consultation

Video sessions for Nepalis abroad and for people outside Kathmandu, at times that suit your time zone. Where medicine is needed abroad, I can work with your local doctor. How online consultation works.

Assessments and written reports

One-off assessments with a clear written report, for example when requested by a doctor, school, employer or insurer. I also carry out independent psychiatric assessments for international insurance claims.
